Joe Pepin was a friend to many over his long life. He was a teacher, guidance counselor, class advisor, mentor, assistant principal, director, friend, colleague, volunteer fireman, Danbury City Councilman and an Officer in many charitable organizations (including our own!) serving the Danbury community.  Joe’s legacy will endure in perpetuity, especially at the Alternative Center for Education (ACE), now known as the Joseph Pepin Memorial Building.  His smile and sense of humor are just some of things that we all will remember and miss most of all.

We have two annual scholarship(s) of $500 each, to a graduating high school senior from the Candlewood Lake area (Danbury HS, Abbott Technical School, Immaculate, ACE, New Fairfield, New Milford, Brookfield).  The second (if applicable) will be awarded to a graduating high school senior of a DFGA immediate family member in good standing.

The scholarships will be awarded by a committee of the DFGA. The award will be made directly to the recipient’s college.   Please contact your school's career or Guidance Counselor Office for our application!  The annual deadline is April 15th.
